Demographic and Clinical Findings of Patients Monitored in a Newly Established Epilepsy Outpatient Clinic in the Çukurova Region: Experiences of a Tertiary Hospital in Turkey

ABSTRACT
Training and Research Hospital.Methods: A total of 315 patients who were monitored between July 2021 October 2022 at the Neurology Clinic's Epilepsy Outpatient Clinic University Health Sciences Turkey, Adana Medical Faculty, City Hospital included in study.Results: Of patients, 161 male (51.1%) 154 female (48.9%).The average age was 33.9±13.98,and seizure frequency 33.51±98.49per year.The most frequently observed risk factors a family history epilepsy (31.3%), febrile convulsions (19.7%), head trauma (18.4%).Neuroimaging findings pathological 47.6% electroencephalography 65.8%.Focal onset seizures 45.1% while generalized seen 46.7%.Monotherapy administered to 52.7% polytherapy given 41.6%.In aged eighteen above, neuroimaging significantly higher (p<0.001).Conclusion: Epidemiological studies provide invaluable information about characteristics an clinic.However, there is still notable scarcity related regional profile our country.In this study, clinical demographic data largely consistent with literature.We believe that regular monitoring comprehensive clinics will enhance patient compliance success treatment.
