The management of methyl alcohol poisoning includes supportive treatment, the correction of metabolic acidosis, the administration of folinic acid and an antidote to inhibit the metabolism of methanol to formic acid, and hemodialysis to correct metabolic abnormalities and to enhance methanol and formic acid elimination. In this study, it was aimed to draw attention to the rare spirit poisoning with methyl alcohol in children.
