ABSTRACT
Introduction:The number of suicide attempts and related deaths among adolescents is increasing every day.Although presents a problem for the general population, it more serious those with psychiatric diseases.Previous studies demonstrated association between inflammation disease.Thus, we aim to investigate relationship adolescent inflammatory biomarker C-reactive protein (CRP).Methods: This research was designed as case-control study.The study population consisted patients who been admitted pediatric emergency department 01.03.2016 01.03.2019 following attempt.Healthy volunteers similar age gender characteristics had clinic routine examination were also recruited.The groups compared in terms demographic clinical features serum CRP levels.Results: A total 239 (108 131 controls) included study.No difference data noted groups.The levels control 1.5±1.5 12.7±6.4mg/L, respectively (p<0.01).The mean cases without disorders 14.3±4.2 9.7±2.7 mg/L, (p=0.03). Conclusion:Levels CRP, strong marker, higher attempted than not.CRP disease without.
