Emotional Status, Stress and Insomnia in Pediatric Healthcare Workers During the COVID-19 Pandemic

ABSTRACT
ÖzObjective: Facing the critical situation of pandemic, healthcare professionals are directly involved in diagnosis, treatment, and care patients with COVID-19 front line they at risk developing psychological distress other mental health symptoms.Here it is aimed to determine where child clinic staff stand terms burden disease. Methods:A hundred fifty-one eligible physicians nurses working Clinic Pediatric, University Health Sciences Turkey, İzmir Tepecik Education Research Hospital who answered a web-based questionnaire between 10-20 June 2020 were included study.Socio-demographic questions, Depression, Anxiety Stress Scale-21 (DASS-21), Insomnia Severity Index (ISI) used evaluate determinants workers.Results: Most participants males (73.6%) (64.2%).Nearly two-thirds employed related departments.We found strong correlations DASS-21 subscale scores ISI.Regarding socio-demographic variables, there statistical differences for results ISI DASS-21; such as male workers had more emotional problems be married no protective effect during this pandemic. Conclusion:Trying understand responses after emerging public problem, can enable us prepared disaster communities.None studies conducted does include disease clinics research needed about topic.
