ABSTRACT
To evaluate the frequency of glaucoma in patients with obstructive sleep apnea syndrome (OSAS) using and not continuous positive airway pressure treatment. This prospective study included 59 diagnosed OSAS based on Apnea-Hypopnea Index (AHI). were divided into 3 groups according to their AHI scores: 5-15 was considered mild (19 patients), 16-30 moderate (16 >30 (24 patients) severe. Twenty-eight (47.5%) had been treatment. The control group 19 healthy subjects. Retinal nerve fiber layer ganglion cell complex (GCC) thickness analyses performed.Average GCC left eyes significantly lower than (p=0.013). thinner inferior inferonasal sectors both compared (p=0.029, p=0.022, p=0.037, p=0.019 respectively). Minimum all (p<0.05).In patients, there may be changes retinal before alterations visual field emerge.
