ABSTRACT
Hepatitis C virus (HCV) is considered as "Viral Time Bomb" suggested by the World Health Organization and if it not treated timely, will lead towards cirrhosis hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC).The purpose of present research to study possible risk factors, frequent genotypes HCV its association with different age groups.Suspected blood samples from patients were collected hospitals Lahore, Pakistan. Out 1000 suspected samples, 920 found positive detected Anti-HCV ELISA, CobasR. kit. The quantification load was determined kit LINEAR ARRAY KIT (Roche) used for genotype determination Real-Time PCR (ABI). Statistical analysis done using Microsoft Excel.Out subjects, 77 subjects (8.4%) false they nested PCR. Three untypeable. Genotype 3 predominant in Lahore which 83.5%, whereas type 1 2 5.1% 0.7% respectively. There also mixed detected, 0.4%, 1.41% 4 0.2% only. Male more infected <40 years females >40years.The major factor transmission use unsterilized razors/blades. It necessary spread awareness among general population Pakistan about factors. Regular physical examination at least once a year recommended, so that early detection could be done.
