ABSTRACT
Background: Pancreatic cancer does not show any symptoms in the early period and metastatic process is already passed when diagnosis done. Therefore, battle with pancreatic cancer, novel treatment strategies, particularly antiinvasive antimetastatic are needed. The cytotoxic anticancer effects of juglone sodium selenite (NaSe) have been showed various cells.
Objectives: In this study, it aimed to investigate synergistic selenium on PANC-1 BxPC-3 Methods: Antimetastatic juglone-NaSe were carried out by adhesion invasion assays genes protein expressions. Expression analysis CDH1, ITGB3 COL4A3 their proteins E-cadherin, β3 integrin tumstatin which play role metastasis angiogenesis processes, done qPCR immunohistochemical analysis, respectively.
Results: Study findings provided evidences that juglone-selenium has a dose dependent suppressive effect Conclusion: potential be promising agent especially inhibit treatment. However, more depth studies needed clearly demonstrate juglone-selenium.
Keywords: cell lines; juglone-selenium; invasion; metastasis.
