The effects of the aqueous leaf extract Combretum micranthum were studied on gastro intestinal smooth muscle rodents. was screened using isolated rabbit jejunum, guinea pig ileum and rat uterus. produced relaxation jejunum ileum. inhibited by phentolamine. effect may involve adrenergic receptors. had no pregnant non-pregnant result preliminary phytochemical screening showed that, contains alkaloids, flavonoids, glycosides, saponins, tannins phlabotannins. properties be due to presence these active constituents pharmacological importance that bear relevance its therapeutic claims in traditional medicine.Keywords: micranthum, Rabbit Rat uterus Guinea
