ABSTRACT
The haematological and biochemical profile of blood Nile tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) fed on diets containing watermelon (Citrullus lanatus) seedmeal were evaluated using packed cell volume (PCV); haemoglobin content (Hb), white count (WBC), red (RBC), mean corpuscular (MCH), (MCV), concentration (MCHC), glucose, cholesterol, total protein, albumin globulin as indices. 150 fingerlings average weight 6.12±0.05g acclimatized for a week, weighed allotted into five dietary treatments; DT1, DT2, DT3, DT4 DT5 0, 15, 30, 45 60% Citrullus lanatus replacement levels with soybean meal, respectively. isonitrogenous isolipidic. Each treatment was replicated three times ten fish per replicate. Fish 5% body two equal proportion day. results from the study indicated that there no significant difference (p>0.05) in parameters various treatments. Keywords: Blood biochemistry, lanatus, haematology, tilapia,
