ABSTRACT
Purpose and background : Since household food security is one of the goals economic, social cultural development programs in country, it important to estimate level security. This estimation done through various indices such as Aggregate Household Food Security Index (AHFSI) 1. index was first proposed by FAO. Using this index, present article tries Kohgiluyeh Boyer-Ahmad Province. Materials methods for Assessment rural & urban Province south Iran we used AHFSI Accordingly, calculate households province, calculated Gini coefficient expenditures distribution among poor an alternative energy protein poor. Afterwards, determined poverty based on percentage persons whose intake below needed 2300 calories. Finally, depth, i.e. relative gap. Findings These results indicate that total, given situation three aforementioned elements, overall communities province terms had a downward trend from 2004 2009 which decreased 99% 60% again increased 81% 2011, but still lower than 2004.
