Desordens hiperostóticas em American Bully

ABSTRACT
The complex of hyperostotic disorders is a rare and self-limiting condition, which has the same histophatological characteristics, courses with non-neoplastic bone proliferations.It affects young dogs different breeds, variability bones affected.The composed craniomandibular osteopathy, calvarial syndrome hypertrophic osteodystrophy.It may be present in skullcap, jaws, cervical spine appendicular skeleton.The report describes condition female dog, American Bully breed, entire, three months old, complaint painful swelling hyporexia drooling for 15 days, presenting on physical examination, reduced amplitude pain temporomandibular joint, bilateral firm thickening skull temporal fossa region, palpable firm-consistent mandibles respiratory crackle.After clinical evaluation complementary tests, presumptive diagnosis was reached.It instituted management as treatment, being effective maintenance physiological needs until patient reaches adulthood.The prognosis this considered good, since there no evidence joint ankylosis and/or neurological manifestations.
