ABSTRACT
The aim of this study is to reveal the macroscopic features brown bear (Ursus arctos) os penis (baculum), as well its morphometric measurements with help computerized tomography and digital electronic caliper. material was obtained from an adult male weighing approximately 400 kg, which brought Wildlife Protection Rehabilitation Unit Kafkas University died a result traffic accident in Sarıkamış district Kars. After skin soft tissues around baculum were removed, they kept hydrogen peroxide for 2-3 hours. In examination, it determined that straight, close pen, except slight curve distal part, ended small tubercle at end. A notch found proximal part. addition prominent sulcus urethralis ventral baculum, short groove also detected lateral. cartilage tissue 11.08 mm length 4.67 thickness bone. made caliper, 148.95 mm, while diameters measured 4.58 13.72 proximal, respectively. computed tomography, 148.84 diameter 5.63 13.12 mm. addition, cortex 0.76 medulla 5.74 distal, 0.77 5.32 region. As result, study, macroanatomical live high altitude cold climate conditions, revealed.
