Assessment of Willingness to Pay for Sustainable Ecotourism Development in the Salt Range Wetlands, Punjab Pakistan

ABSTRACT
Wetlands are the source of vital ecosystems which provide human societies with essential and extremely valuable life-supporting functions. The rapid population growth resultant exploitation lands, water bodies, forests have badly influenced wetland resources. non-market goods as they do not market value. So, it is important to evaluate these resources economically identify their significance. Therefore, this study aims visitors’ willingness pay for economic valuation Salt Range wetlands comprised Kalar Kahar, Uchali, Jhalar, Khabeki, Namal Lakes. A qualitative method was used gather relevant information from respondents by using a questionnaire. By applying (WTP) technique found that about 85.34% tourists were agreed visit lakes because naturalness. Similarly, mean WTP in Kahar lake PKR. 1808, Uchali PKR.1820 while 1848. It concluded all equally there frictional difference WTP. suggested should be conserved future generations sustain long-term benefits concerned stakeholders through initiation ecotourism.
