ABSTRACT
Objectivity is a constant recommendation in audio description (AD) guidelines. However, some scholars have pointed to the advantages of more subjective, creative, or narrative rendition. In this paper, we seek determine what extent subjectivity and objectivity coexist Spanish filmic AD. order fulfil our aim, operationalised by means multimodal analysis based on Chaume’s (2004) classification meaning codes. To operationalise through multimodality, employed qualitative content examined whether visual acoustic information was rendered objectively subjectively corpus four AD scripts from Netflix.
