ABSTRACT
By measuring the density fluctuations in a highly elongated weakly interacting Bose gas, we observe and quantify transition from ideal gas to quasi-condensate regime throughout dimensional crossover purely 1D an almost 3D gas. We show that entire region are described surprisingly well by modified Yang-Yang model. Furthermore, find at low temperatures linear scales according interaction-driven scenario of longitudinally uniform whereas high it degeneracy-driven critical transverse condensation
