ABSTRACT
The routes in IP networks are determined by the destination address and routing tables each router on path to destination. Hence all packets follow same route until is changes due congestion, link failure or topology updates. IPv4 tried using Type of Service (TOS) field header classify traffic that did not succeed as it was based fair self-classification applications comparison network other applications. As multimedia were quite foreign at initial stage, TOS used uniformly. there different existing Quality (QoS) paradigms available, IPv6 QoS approach designed be more flexible. protocol thus has QoS-specific elements Base Extension headers which can ways enhance application performance. In this paper, we plan survey these options architectures discuss their strengths weaknesses. Some basic simulation for various queuing schemes presented a new scheme prioritized WFQ with RR proposed.
