ABSTRACT
Auxetic materials are a novel class of mechanical metamaterials which exhibit an interesting property negative Poisson ratio by virtue their architecture rather than composition. It has been well established that wide range can be obtained varying the geometry and cellular materials. However, limited stiffness values from given restricts applications. Research trials have revealed multi-material designs capability to generate as per requirement application. With advancements in 3D printing, realized practice. In this work, investigated using finite element method. was observed introduction material gradient/distribution cell provides means tune specific requirement. These results will aid design wearable auxetic impact protection devices rely on gradients variable auxeticity.
