ABSTRACT
The scientific community has been studying graph data models for decades. Their high expressiveness and elasticity led the to design a variety of query languages, practitioners use them model real-world cases extract useful information. Recently, property graphs and, in particular, Cypher 9 (the first open version well-known Neo4j Inc.'s language) are gaining popularity. Practitioners find applicable many scenarios. However, we living streaming world where continuously flows. A growing number Cypher's users show interest querying act timely fashion. Indeed, lacks features dealing with streams (graph) continuous evaluation. In this work, propose Seraph, an extension Cypher, as attempt introduce context languages. Specifically, define Seraph semantics, syntax, discuss potential impacts from user perspective.
