ABSTRACT
For emergency response scenarios like firefighting in urban environments, there is a need to both localize responders inside the building and also support high bandwidth communication link between command-and-control center. The networks for such can be established with quick deployment of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs). Further, 3D mobility UAVs leveraged improve quality wireless by maneuvering them into advantageous locations. This has motivated recent propagation measurement campaigns study low-altitude air-to-ground channels 5G-sub6 GHz 5G-mmWave bands. In this paper, we develop model UAV-assisted location and/or system. Specifically, given importance Line-of-Sight (LoS) links localization as well mmWave communication, derive closed-form expression LoS probability. probability parameterized UAV base station location, size building, window that offers best path.
