ABSTRACT
Combining new HI data from a synergetic survey of ASKAP WALLABY and FAST with the ALFALFA data, we study effect ram pressure tidal interactions in NGC 4636 group. We develop two parameters to quantify disentangle these effects on gas stripping HI-bearing galaxies: strength external forces at optical-disk edge, outside-in extents HI-disk stripping. find that is widespread this group, affecting 80% HI-detected non-merging galaxies, 41% are experiencing both types Among galaxies effects, strengths independent, while HI-stripping moderately anticorrelate each other. Both correlated shrinkage. The related rather uniform reddening low-mass ($M_*<10^9\,\text{M}_\odot$) when dominating effect. In contrast, not clearly linked color-changing patterns extents, estimate total extent, put forward an empirical model can describe decrease richness as fall toward group center. timescale derived decreases distance center, $\mathord{\sim}1\,\text{Gyr}$ beyond $R_{200}$ $\mathord{\lesssim}10\,\text{Myr}$ near Gas-depletion happens $\mathord{\sim}3\,\text{Gyr}$ since crossing $2R_{200}$ for HI-rich but much quicker HI-poor ones. Our results physically motivated way details processes environmental-effects-driven galaxy evolution, might assist analyzing hydrodynamic simulations observational way.
