ABSTRACT
In this paper, we initiate the study of rate-splitting multiple access (RSMA) for a mono-static integrated sensing and communication (ISAC) system, where dual-functional base station (BS) simultaneously communicates with users detects moving targets. We aim at optimizing ISAC waveform to jointly maximize max-min fairness (MMF) rate minimize largest eigenvalue Cram\'er-Rao bound (CRB) matrix unbiased estimation. The CRB considered in work is general as it involves estimation angular direction, complex reflection coefficient, Doppler frequency Simulation results demonstrate that RSMA maintains larger trade-off than conventional space-division (SDMA) capable detecting targets high detection accuracy. finding highlights potential an effective powerful strategy interference management multi-user multi-target systems.
