ABSTRACT
Due to the limited field of view (FoV) Cherenkov telescopes, time needed achieve target sensitivity for surveys extragalactic and Galactic sky is large. To optimize spent perform such surveys, a so-called "divergent mode" Telescope Array Observatory (CTAO) was proposed as an alternative observation strategy traditional parallel pointing. In divergent mode, each telescope points position in that slightly offset, outward direction, from original center view. This bring advantage increasing total instantaneous arrays' FoV. From enlarged also benefits search very-high-energy transient sources, making it possible cover large regions follow-up observations, or quickly probability map case Gamma Ray Bursts (GRB), Gravitational Waves (GW), other events. this contribution, we present implementation pointing mode its first preliminary performance estimation southern CTAO array.
