The magnetohydrodynamic equations in terms of waveframe variables

Generalising the Elsasser variables, we introduce Q-variables. These are more flexible than because they also allow to track waves with phase speeds different Alfven speed. We rewrite MHD equations these consider linearised version of resulting in a uniform plasma, and recover classical waves, but separate fast slow magnetosonic upward downward propagating waves. Moreover, show that Q-variables may surface non-uniform displaying power our generalisation. In end, lay mathematical framework for driving solar wind models multitude wave drivers.
