ABSTRACT
Doubly heavy tetraquarks have emerged as new probes to study the hadron spectrum. With experimental observation of $J^P=1^+$ $T_{cc}^+$, they pose a unique opportunity bring together efforts in experiment, phenomenology, and lattice QCD. In calculations are accessible ground states, unlike hidden flavor tetraquarks, this enables accurate determinations scattering parameters alongside binding energies these tetraquarks. Today, firmly predict $T_{bb}^{ud}$ $T_{bb}^{us}$ QCD bound while recent studies approaching $T_{cc}^{ud}$ find it be virtual state at slightly non-physical input quark masses. Studies $T_{bc}^{ud}$ ongoing focus area. light developments evolution field until point is reviewed. Emphasis put on methods spectroscopy that enable robust evaluation gathered. They further reviewed towards their limitations achievements. Current challenges opportunities discussed, including possibilities approach left-hand cut analysis charm candidates understanding structure those two bottom quarks.
