ABSTRACT
During the production of hydrocarbons from subterranean reservoirs, calcium sulphate and barium scaling cause flux decline dangerous problems in facilities.Numerous studies have investigated single salt precipitation aqueous media. This work is intended to study co-precipitation BaSO 4 -CaSO , commonly observed salts oil sector. The conductometric method was used follow progress reaction CaCl 2 -Na SO -barite suspension BaCl -CaCl solutions at acid alkaline medium. The obtained precipitates were characterized by FTIR, RAMAN, SEM, EDX XRD.In solution, experiments showed no difference gypsum mode. For solution medium, it shown that during reaction, intermediate mixed crystals Ba 1-x Ca x can be formed with an induction time increases comparison pure nucleation.Intermediary solids, which precipitate dendritic shape, crystallize both orthorhombic (x < 0.5) monoclinic > systems through insertion substitution mechanism crystal lattice barites.Nevertheless, medium (pH 8.3), results revealed presence 2+ has not a significant effect on kinetics.
