ABSTRACT
Abstract Objective. As the consequences of clumsiness in childrenbecome better understood, need for valid measurement tools is apparent. Parent report has thepotential providing historical knowledge child’s motor skills, as well perceptions their children’s difficulties. Theobjective was to develop a parent questionnaire identifymotor difficulties children. Method. A sample 306 children participated development 17-item questionnaire, called Developmental Coordination Disorder Questionnaire (DCDQ). Internal consistency, concurrent and construct validity were examined. Results. The DCDQ proved capable distinguishing who had problems (as measured by standardized tests) from without problems. Correlations with tests significant. Two other studies confirmed DCDQ. Factor analysis revealed four distinct factors, useful defining nature Conclusion. succinct measure use occupational therapists.
