The National Transit Database (NTD) includes comprehensive data on transit organization characteristics, vehicle fleet revenues and subsidies, operating maintenance costs, reliability inventory, services consumed supplied, safety security. Some of these have been used extensively to derive values for performance measures become the sole source standardized use by all constituencies U.S. industry.
