ABSTRACT
Ophthalmic complications after tooth extraction are rare but discomforting events. This paper reports the of a 20-year-old male patient who presented with transient blurring vision surgical several teeth under general anesthesia. Additional diagnostic tests were performed to discern reason for pseudomyopia. A literature review was carried out by searching articles published from 1936 2019 using keywords "dental," "ophthalmic," "complication," "blurring vision," and "accommodation disturbance" in PubMed. Only six patients detailed ophthalmic symptoms similar those our have been reported. If blurred or myopic shift refraction is present, pseudomyopia should be suspected, cycloplegic essential diagnosis. The condition improves spontaneously.
