ABSTRACT
Microplastics (MPs) has been recently attracted the attention of many researches due to their existence for a long time in environment. MPs are considered as an alarming pollution issue such occurence water, sediment, and organism. In this research, characteristics concentration, size, shape composition polymers shoreline sediments at two layers (0- 5 cm -10 cm) collected from seven beaches on Danang city were investigated by Fourier-transform infrared (µ-FTIR) method. Consequently, average concentration was found 5565 ± 2359 items 〖kg〗^(-1)dry weight (d.w.) layers. The upper layer beach sediment (0-5 majority with abundance 7679 3363 〖kg〗^(-1)d.w. had wide range sizes 22.4 μm 2797.2 93.4 18.8 sampling sites. addition, size 20 150 most dominance both layers. The morphology diversity fragment. variation polymer types determined. Polyamide (PA) main type while polyether sulfone (PES) observed only 4/7 beaches. These results showed it is necessary study Vietnam future.
