Ultra-Reiz Current Appears to be More Effective Modality than Interferential for People with Knee Osteoarthritis: A Randomized Block Clinical Trial

ABSTRACT
Introduction: Today, increased degenerative disease of the knee, which reduces efficiency activity and quality life, is one most common causes many population complaints. It important to properly plan carry out non-invasive non-pharmacological therapies treat pain its consequences. The question methods effectively relieves pain, improve function efficiently increases life led a comparison two methods, interferential ultra-reiz (Träbert) currents therapy.
 Methods: Randomized Block clinical trial carried at Taleghani general hospital Shahid Beheshti University Medical Sciences from November 2017 February 2019. study included 104 patients both sexes, aged 38-74 years, with knee osteoarthritis. They were selected based on exclusion inclusion criteria. randomly assigned groups: A B. Group A, n: 52 patients, received current, group B, subjected current. Parameters assessment evaluated by Knee Injury Osteoarthritis Outcome Score (KOOS) questionnaire 5 domains: symptoms, ADL, sports/recreational activity, life. Data collected 1st session end treatment (at least three times week). obtained results subject statistical analysis.
 Results: analyzed in SPSS software using paired independent sample t-test. mean scores before after p-value range 0.002~0.764 showed that there differences other sport/recreational status between IFT groups, but statistically more significant (p < 0.0001).
 Conclusions: Our effective for OA, became modality than OA patients.
