ABSTRACT
Abstract. One-dimensional (1-D) ice flow models are used to construct the age scales at Dome C and Fuji drilling sites (East Antarctica). The poorly constrained glaciological parameters each site recovered by fitting independent markers identified within core. We reconstruct past accumulation rates, that larger than those modelled using classical vapour saturation pressure relationship during glacial periods up a factor 1.5. During Early Holocene, changes in reconstructed not linearly related isotopic composition. A simple model of elevation is developed shows an amplitude variation 110–120 m both sites. suggest there basal melting (0.56±0.19 mm/yr). velocity profile highly non-linear sites, which suggests complex effects. This induces thinning function also characterized bumps corresponding variations thickness with time.
