CLUVEX - Climate University for Virtual Exchanges

ABSTRACT
Climate University for Virtual Exchanges (CLUVEX; https://www.atm.helsinki.fi/cluvex; 1 Jul 2023 – 30 Jun 2026) is a 3-year project conducted by two European Erasmus+ program countries Finland (UHEL) as the coordinator and Denmark (UCPH), Neighbourhood East - Ukraine (OSENU TSNUK) Armenia (YSU). Additionally, an art-and-science non-profit association, BioArt Society (https://bioartsociety.fi), based in Finland, collaborates this initiative. CLUVEX aims to connect students from universities involve them climate-related topics, including ideas adapting mitigating effects of climate change advancing green agenda. Moreover, emphasizes development interdisciplinary, green, soft skills among students. In practice, responsible designing organizing series interactive online training events known "Virtual Exchanges" (VE). These VEs are structured include educational materials engage students, professors, teachers, researchers collaboratively small groups. During project, total 5 VE Calls will be initiated, spanning both Spring Autumn semesters starting 2024. Each Call extend invitations 500 Universities other institutions participate weeks. The main motivation cultivate new generation young Messengers who possess knowledge foster awareness sustainability strategies within their home organizations future professional endeavours. week, various activities take place, plenary sessions, discussions, exercises focused on specific topics smaller rooted atmospheric sciences research builds (https://climateuniversity.fi). goal that after participating VE, participants gain deeper understanding issues meaningful connections with peers.
