ABSTRACT
Abstract. Scientists from different disciplines at ETH Zurich are developing a dynamic, harmonised, and user-centred earthquake risk framework for Switzerland, relying on continuously evolving catalogue generated by the Swiss Seismological Service (SED) using national seismic networks. This uses all available information to assess various stages facilitates widespread dissemination communication of resulting information. Earthquake products services include operational (loss) forecasting (OE(L)F), early warning (EEW), ShakeMaps, rapid impact assessment (RIA), structural health monitoring (SHM), recovery rebuilding efforts (RRE). Standardisation workflows across applications is essential achieving broad adoption, universal recognition, maximum synergies. In dynamic framework, harmonisation into seamless solutions that access same databases, workflows, software crucial component. A approach utilising quantitative qualitative social science tools like online surveys focus groups significant innovation featured in services. Here we report key considerations developments its components. paper may serve as reference guide other countries wishing establish similar reduction.
