As one of the main assumptions for accident analysis has been detailed information about vehicle deformation.The precise deformation depth allows to quantify energy and related impact speed.The aim this paper comparison two selected methods used determination depth.For purpose were top-view photography as basic cheap method 3D scanning modern advanced method.Different vehicles 2 types damagefrontal side -were chosen analysis.Also, different range selected.On basis obtained results is possible determine applicability these methods, their advantages limitations.
