ABSTRACT
This study aims to examine the relationship between low vitamin D levels and lateral epicondylitis (LE).Between January 2016 2018, a total of 40 patients (17 males, 23 females; mean age: 38.6±10.7 years; range, 18 59 years) diagnosed with LE were included as group, while 66 (33 33 33.6±12.5 58 who did not have any elbow complaints met criteria control group. Both groups compared in terms levels, which >30 ng/mL considered normal, 20-30 accepted insufficiency, <20 categorized deficiency.Vitamin group significantly lower than (p<0.001). The level was 16.47±8.22 (range, 8.32 39.55) 23.64±8.4 11.6 49) While 31 (77.5%) had deficiency, four (10%) five (12.5%) normal levels. In 29 (43.9%) 20 (30.3%) 17 (25.8%) levels.Although etiology has been fully understood yet, our study. finding supports that may be one factors LE.
