Development and validation of a questionnaire for hygienic estimation of the impact of risk factors on morbidity due to osteoporosis

ABSTRACT
Introduction. Osteoporosis remains a major public health issue, particularly affecting the elderly, and is characterized by decreased bone mass deterioration of structure, increasing risk severe fractures. The development specific precise tools that allow for identification estimation influence modifiable factors on osteoporosis an important step in early intervention at-risk individuals. Material methods. initial version questionnaire was created to identify contributing osteoporosis, including type frequency drinking water consumption, quality, knowledge about its mineral composition, dietary preferences, alcohol tobacco use, physical activities, stressful situations. initially contained 65 questions, organized into three sections. Five experts reviewed content validity, evaluating clarity, cultural linguistic relevance, coherence questions. feedback led adjustments, reducing 52 A pre-test conducted with 30 adults from Republic Moldova, confirming validity internal consistency questionnaire, Cronbach’s Alpha coefficient 0.768. Results. To ensure evaluated based their comments suggestions, semantic syntactic reformulations modifications were made. As result, 13 questions eliminated, second During pre-testing stage, order deemed appropriate respondents. average time required complete 14.19 minutes (SD ± 1.567), minimum 11.90 maximum 17.33 minutes. sample used stage included respondents, majority whom (93.3%) women. respondents’ ages ranged 25 72 years, mean age 50.37 2.6 years. distribution respondents balanced between urban (53.3%) rural (46.7%) areas. Regarding education level, 56.6% had higher education, 26.7% secondary vocational 16.7% no education. Conclusions. study demonstrated new valid reliable instrument assessing impact morbidity due osteoporosis. Ongoing research necessary refine further validate within broader population.
