ABSTRACT
There is a bidirectional relation between COVID-19 and diabetes mellitus (DM); the latter associated with greater risk of severe COVID-19, newly appeared DM has been observed in patients COVID-19. A single cohort study was conducted an exploratory analysis to assess frequency after having had Lima, Peru. Patients over 18 years old were included, who presented cases fasting plasma glucose (FPG) within normal values at admission. New blood tests carried out during recovery stage prior discharge total, there 55 found DM. higher proportion vaccinated patients, lower average age less may have contributed compared other studies.
