We report the discovery of blister beetle, Meloe coelatus Reiche, 1957, in Qatar. According to Catalogue Palaearctic Coleoptera there is no record for genus Qatar, although well represented other areas Arabian Peninsula. M. a rare species, that present along wide area Northern Africa and Western Asia. Our findings bridge current geographic gap known distribution species from Saudi Arabia Iran. believe fauna Qatar might be underestimated.
