ABSTRACT
Diabetes mellitus is a metabolic disease that can cause hyperglycemia (elevated blood sugar levels). various complications, one of which microangiopathy, damage to the vascularization eye. Soyghurt probiotic drink high in isoflavones, has preventive benefits, and be supplement for patients with diabetes. This study aimed determine picture eye alloxan-induced diabetic rats given freeze-dried soyghurt. descriptive research using Posttest Only Control Group Design. The subjects this were white (Rattus norvegicus) Wistar strain, randomly separated into five groups, namely, three treatment groups two control groups. Data analyzed descriptively by describing assessment based on formation microaneurysms, hard exudates, cotton-wool spots, dot-blot & flame hemorrhages, neovascularization. data processing results showed group combination soyghurt metformin had highest reduction levels rats, an average difference 221.5 mg/dl. administration alloxan at dose 125 mg/kg body weight day did not change histopathological rats. Further tests need conducted regarding appropriate duration see damage.
