ABSTRACT
Abstract Dual process theories of decision making distinguish between type 1 processes, which are commonly assumed to be fast and autonomous related intuitive thinking, 2 require the involvement working memory closely linked analytical reasoning. The purpose this work was study role external information about intuitively made decisions, examining whether processes engagement is modified by exposure positive or negative feedback. One hundred six participants completed a set conditional reasoning tasks, adopting two-response paradigm. Results showed that who expected receive feedback took longer make but they less time give responses after administration more feedback; moreover, spent provide their reflected progressively decreased throughout experiment. A significant effect also emerged, showing an increase in accuracy responses. discussed from dual perspective.
