ABSTRACT
The Bench Dragon is one of the traditional folk activities originating in the River Luo region and is an annual event in southern Chinese provinces and cities. Villagers connect the bench drills one after another to form a bench dragon, which is more than 200 metres long and very spectacular. However, the bench dragon will be too close or the routes overlap during the movement leading to accidents. In order to reduce the injuries, this paper constructs a two-dimensional collision model based on the spiral motion mechanism and the curve planning problem to study its motion law, the collision occurrence conditions and route optimisation problem in the two-dimensional plane.
