ABSTRACT
Objective: Arthroscopic surgery is currently a well-known treatment method for meniscal pathologies. This study aims to compare conservative and surgical methods in patients with meniscopathy. Materials Methods: The retrospective analyses of 68 tear were included this study. Patients divided into two groups: medical group (MTG) (STG). Diagnosis was perfomed by physical examination magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). All evaluated before after main pain score (MPS), International Knee Documentation Committee (IKDC) score, body mass index (BMI), Ultrasensitive C-reactive protein (US-CRP). In the MTG group, 31 underwent naproxen sodium three days, ice application, activity modification, muscle exercises. In STG 37 arthroscopic partial menisectomy days. Parameters characterizing pretreatment posttreatment states compared statistically. MPS, IKDC, BMI, US-CRP values both groups recorded at baseline months treatment. Results: Surgical (STG): treatment, MPS decreased IKDC scores increased significantly when (P 0.1799, respectively). Medical (MTG): BMI preoperative 0.05, respectively). Conclusion: improved knee surgery.
