HAND TUMORS: RETROSPECTIVE EVALUATION OF 223 PATIENTS IN A SINGLE CENTER

ABSTRACT
Objectives: Bone and soft tissue tumors in the hand are a diverse group of neoplastic lesions that pose unique challenges for diagnosis management. This article provides concise overview current understanding these tumors, emphasizing their clinical significance, diagnostic modalities, treatment strategies. The hand’s complex anatomy function make early detection precise localization critical optimal patient outcomes. research outlines spectrum benign malignant can affect anatomical regions, highlighting importance multidisciplinary approach. Methods: 223 patients who were diagnosed with between 2013 2022 reviewed. Age at surgery, gender, complaint, tumor location, pathological analyzed. Results: In study involving patients, 140 female 83 male, an average age 39.6 years. found prevalent, detected 91.4% while observed 8.6% cases. Benign more common among affecting 65.9% whereas bone 25.5% Malignant excluding metastasis, 14 (6.2%) patients. Conclusion: management is dynamic field within orthopedic surgery often involves approach, collaboration surgeons, plastic oncologists, other specialists. choice depends on type, size, stage tumor, overall health patient.
