GIANT GLUTEAL LIPOMA: A CASE REPORT AND REVIEW OF LITERATURE

ABSTRACT
Introduction : Lipoma is one of the most common benign mesenchymal tumor which can occur in almost all organs body where fat normally exists, so called as universal or ubiquitous tumor. Lipomas are slow growing that rarely reach a size more than 2-3cms. Lesions larger 5cms, giant lipomas seldom found inside muscle compressing nervous-vascular structures. The large and deep seated represent real diagnostic therapeutic challenge. Case report: We report case 48 year old man with lipoma involving his left gluteal thigh region. patient was managed by wide local excision lesion. key issues surrounding intramuscular literature review discussed. Conclusion: Intramuscular Giant rare even though they typical their presentation, especially when show findings be confused well-differentiated low grade liposarcoma, but an appropriate workup must done. This should followed adequate open surgical repeat examination over time to monitor for recurrence.
