ABSTRACT
Toxoplasma Gondii is an obligate intracellular parasite which may infect all nucleated cells. Studies conducted in adult patients show that toxoplasmosis be related to psychiatric diseases and there a correlation between schizophrenia, depressive disorder, type 1 bipolar increased suicide rates, obsessive compulsive high aggressiveness impulsivity. Besides psychosocial causes, biological entities such as chronic physical diseases, neuroendocrine disorders infections affect immune system are also blamed for depression. The mechanism by the cause increase depression suicidal behaviours has been tried explained changes monoamine neurotransmitters serotonin, dopamine, epinephrine norepinephrine. In this case, adolescent girl with treatment-resistant major depression, was treated of her after she diagnosed T. infection. Globally, infection usually asymptomatic 33% prevalence but its effects on brain uncertain. Its vary from individual individual.
