ABSTRACT
The genotype characteristic of cultivars was investigated, along with varieties both the jute species, Corchorus olitorius and capsularis, in germplasm collection at Bangladesh Jute Research Institute (BJRI). DNA fingerprinting generated for 9 different 12 accessions by using random amplified polymorphic DNA(RAPD). A total 29 arbitrary oligonucleotide primers were screened. Seven gave polymorphism within varieties, 6 detected that tested. dendrogram engendered from these data, this a distinct clustering cultivated species jute. Therefore, we RAPD markers, which are species-specific. These can distinguish between C. capsularis. From various members two found existing genetic classification agrees our molecular marking data. showed could be clustered into three groups. data will invaluable conservation utilization pool collection.
