Epidemiological studies have shown that the incidence of coronary artery disease increases as LDL- C, TC1-9), and TG10, 11) levels rise HDL-C level lowers5, 8, 12) both in Japan Western countries (Fig.1). At present, prevalence is much lower than countries13-16). However, recent LDL-C TC Japanese associated with so-called Westernization diet implies future disease. In this guideline, therefore, criteria for diagnosis dyslipidemia were defined Table 1, a greater emphasis on prevention disease. The first step diagnostic procedure to measure TC, TG, after overnight fasting. then calculated by use Friedewald equation (LDL-C=TC – TG/5). The may be measured homogenous method especially case postprandial examination or when TG 400 mg/dL higher.
