ABSTRACT
In open, dynamic multi-agent systems, agents may form short-term ad-hoc groups, such as coalitions, in order to meet their goals. Trust and reputation are crucial concepts these environments, must rely on peers perform expected, learn avoid untrustworthy partners. However, groups introduce issues which impede the formation of trust relationships. For example, they be short-lived, precluding from gaining necessary experiences make an accurate evaluation. This paper describes a new approach, inspired by theories human organisational behaviour, whereby generalise with known partners stereotypes apply when evaluating unknown We show how this approach can complement existing state art models, enhance confidence evaluations that made about trustees direct reputational information is lacking or limited.
