ABSTRACT
Healthcare workers (HCWs) are at the forefront of fight against coronavirus. The purpose this study was to evaluate COVID-19 phobia levels HCWs a pandemic hospital and explore associated factors.This descriptive cross-sectional conducted on employed in hospital. A total 365 (95 physicians, 187 nurses 83 assistant healthcare staffs) were included study. In order phobia, coronavirus-19 scale (C19P-S) administrated. Chronophobia frontline nonfrontline compared. Additionally, effect working different departments, profession factors evaluated.Overall, 172 completed C19P-S agreed participate Mean CP19P-S score 50.1 ± 17.3. Of population, 59.3% participants 40.7% non-frontline HCWs. When compared terms subscales scores (psychological, psycho-somatic, economic, social), no statistically significant differences found (p= 0.914, p= 0.687, 0.766, 0.347, 0.794, respectively).When divided into three groups according departments (clinics, intensive care unit (ICU), emergency department) where they worked regardless whether cared for patients with COVID-19, ICUs had highest regarding 0.002, 0.001, 0.012, 0.002,respectively) . Profession based comparison revealed difference between 0.117).It is essential make comprehensive evaluation effects pandemics HCWs, not only controlling but also protect mental health Critical professions appear need particular attention among C19P-S, which assesses coronaphobia psychological, social aspects could be convenient screening tool evaluating HWCs.
