ABSTRACT
We present partial genome sequences of 50 salamander species (Urodela) from 10 genera and 4 families. These span nearly the entire range sizes in salamanders, ~14–130GB, latter which is among largest all animal genomes. Only three genomes were available to this point, Ambystomatidae (one species) Salamandridae (two two genera), we have added Amphiumidae species), Plethodontidae (45 6 Proteidae Sirenidae (three genera). ~140 million years evolutionary divergence, leaving only Cryptobranchidae, Hynobiidae, Rhyacotritonidae as families without assemblies. data should facilitate additional future work on speciation evolution, both within Urodela across Animalia.
